This scheme provides solar panels to schools in the UK, with 50 per cent funding provided by the government. We’re supplying schools with the rest of the money needed to make the project happen. With your support, we can help more.
The panels save nearly 2 tonnes of carbon annually (or 9 tonnes for large systems). The energy supplied is free and, during holidays, the schools can even make money selling power back to the grid.
The schools get metering equipment to help them keep track of energy generated and carbon savings. It’s also a great, practical way to educate young people about clean energy. National curriculum teaching packs on climate change are part of the package.
